Sandra Boynton makes some of the best board books. My kids have all loved her books. It is also a lot easier for me to read them over and over since they are so much fun to read. She uses great animal characters that act like people. Sandra started out as a card designer and even makes music too. Some of our favorites are Moo, Baa, La LA LA, But, Not the Hippopotamus and Horns to Toes and in Between. My 17 month old son is always going to get one of these books. He brings it right over and sits on my lap. Whenever I read Moo, Baa, La La La he does a great job repeating some of the words. I will say "The cow says" and he will finish it with the best "Moo" that he can. He continues repeating each of the different animal sounds when it is his turn. About Board Books

Board Books are the best way to introduce toddlers to books. Board books are extremely durable and have thick pages for young kids to easily turn. They are also a smaller size with fewer pages. They are often brightly colored with various types of large text to capture a child's attention.
I have 3 boys and they have all absolutely loved their board books. Typically they will like a few of their books a lot more than the others. Make sure you like them too because you will be reading them over and over again. Board books are pretty simple in their design but, some of them are truly amazing in how much entertainment they can provide. With such few words involved in the book the writer really needs to make sure they use the best words possible.
